This business is a second career for me. I spent most of my adult life in hospitality management, following a path that many women follow — I sacrificed my creative dreams and impulses in service of a job that provided stability of income and schedule for my family (I see you, mama!). I have three children and one surrogate daughter and I am so proud to be called Mom and Nanna today. I do not regret those years or that choice, but I feel invigorated in a way I never have when I “go to work” these days.
